My name is Stephen, tax professional turned vegan blogger.  Yeah, that’s right.  After 33 years in the corporate tax world, I resigned my position to share my message and help people transition to a vegan lifestyle (that’s the normal career path, right?).

My journey into the vegan lifestyle started a few years back after a friend advised against me starting the keto diet.  He recommended I watch Forks Over Knives and What the Health.  These two documentaries changed my life.  I’ve stumbled along the way in my journey, but I always returned to the vegan lifestyle.   With what I now know about the health benefits from this way of eating in addition to the impactful benefit to the animal kingdom and our planet, I feel it is my duty to advocate for the vegan lifestyle.  As my tagline states…For you. For them. For the planet.

Change is difficult.  I understand the struggles people face in the transition to a vegan lifestyle.  I’ve been there.  My goal is to help with the transition by providing easy to understand information and guidance, encouragement when you are discouraged, and most importantly, easy and delicious recipes.  I want to take the complexity out of the transition to a vegan lifestyle, hopefully setting the stage for a greater likelihood of success and complete adoption of the lifestyle.

I aspire to be completely Whole Food, Plant-Based.  My recipes will attempt to adhere to that standard.  That said, it is a difficult standard to follow 100% and the key to a successful transition to the vegan lifestyle is to make it as easy as possible.  This is true in your kitchen and eating out.
